To use sand wax, you can follow these steps:
- Pour the sand wax into a clean, heat-safe container that's at least 6 cm in diameter. Container may need to be bigger is you are using more than one wick in a container. Use caution and be sure there is plenty of clearance from the edges of the container. You want to be sure the wick isn't so close to the edge that it overheats the container edges creating a hazard.
- Insert a wick into the sand, leaving about 1 cm above the surface.
- Gently shake the container to level out the sand wax.
- Light the candle and enjoy.
- When you're done, extinguish the flame and let the wax and wick cool.
- You can either remove the wick and hardened wax and replace with a new wick, or depending on the length of wick left, you can reuse the wick and hardened wax. When deciding whether to reuse the wick you can use your judgement to decide if the remaining wick length is long enough to burn for your burning time preference.
- If you aren't using/burning the remaining sand in the near future, be sure to store the remaining sand wax in its original packaging or an airtight container for reuse when done using.
